Round Up of the Year 2018

Sh Ch Veratey Vincenzo at Cassom became the all-time breed record holder, winning 71 CCs to take the record from Ch Bournehouse Starshine.
He became top winning Gundog for the 2nd time.
He also won Cocker of the Year for an unprecedented 4th time and also equalled the most number of CCs in a year with 21.

2018 was a great year for oranges Previously no orange roan/orange white cockers had won both CCs at the same show. This changed at North Midlands & Eastern Counties when Claramand Ziggy Ziggy & Manchela Where the Heart Is won the CCs, and was repeated at Midland Cocker where the Best Puppy was Craigdean Holby City, also Orange roan. Altogether, oranges won a total of 16 CCs, far more than any previous year, with Sh Ch Claramand Ziggy Ziggy becoming the top-winning orange dog with 7 CCs.

 Daphne & Jo Darby's Sh Ch Classicway Claudia Schifer became the first blue roan & tan Show Champion since 1962

The only 'double' of the year (both CCs at the same show) was won by Sarah Amos-Jones with Sh Ch Veratey Vincenzo at Cassom and Cassom Margot Fonteyn at Belfast

First time CC winners were;
Mike Wildman & Anna Spencers' Multi Ch Serenade De Andaba Xey
Anne Sutton's Shirepark Starry Eyed
Kirsty Torbett's Kirlinjis Dare To Be Maid

First Time Champions
Sue Shinkfield & Penny Lester's Sh Ch Quettadene Startime
Mike Wildman & Anna Spencer's Es / Pt / Ib / Sh Ch Serenade De Andaba Xey (who became the first Spanish-bred bitch to win a CC and eventually her title in Britain)

Stud dog of the Year was Angela Hackett's Sh Ch Lindridge Star Quest
